Overland Park native and actor Jason Sudeikis will headline the fourth “Giggle with Gilda,” performing with comedy improv troupe Second City National Touring Company of Chicago. The show features local entertainer Missy Koonce as master of ceremonies and a performance by legendary Kansas City musician Lonnie McFadden and his band. Proceeds benefit Gilda’s Club, which offers cancer support groups, educational opportunities, social events and workshops.
“As a cancer survivor and Gilda’s Club board member, I couldn’t be more proud and thrilled to have our son come home to headline this event,” says Sudeikis’ mother, Kathy. “Gilda’s Club is invaluable to anyone in our community facing cancer. But, because we also know that often laughter is the best medicine, there is no better way to raise funds than through this fabulous event.”
Tickets are $80, $65 and $45. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $200, which includes access to a private party with Sudeikis. There also will be a live auction for a Giggle New York Experience, which includes two tickets to the May 4 performance of “Saturday Night Live” and a backstage tour with Sudeikis.
