Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

World-renowned architect Moshe Safdie's original plans for this iconic piece of KC's skyline were first sketched on a napkin, and today the Kauffman Center is the ultimate venue for performing arts in the entire region. The modern marvel contains two performance halls with state-of-the-art acoustics and sophisticated aesthetics. Brandmeyer Great Hall, which serves as the lobby, has floor-to-ceiling glass windows anchored by 27 cables and offers stunning views of downtown. Home to the Kansas City Symphony, the Kansas City Ballet and the Lyric Opera, the Kauffman Center caters to a variety of audiences so everyone can experience excellent performances. 1601 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., (816) 994-7200, kauffmancenter.org
