We know diamonds
We Know Diamonds. Meierotto Jewelers knows diamonds, engagement rings, watches, and jewelry. They also know family. You’ll fi nd founders Carol and Dennis Meierotto in their store every single business day along with several of their seven children and even grandchildren, on occasion. However, family extends beyond the Meierottos, according to Carol Meierotto.
“We’re fortunate enough to consider our employees as family. We depend on our entire work family to make this place a success. Some of my first associates I hired in the 1980s are still with us 30 years later and others over 20 years.”
The Meierottos first opened their doors in 1979 in a small 800 square foot storefront as Midwest Coin Exchange. The business thrived and grew beyond coins and currency to include jewelry and watches. In 1986 Meierotto expanded to a larger location on Vivion Road as Meierotto Midwest Jewelers. Carol Meierotto attributes her company’s success to their dedication to providing the customer with a truly unique jewelry experience. “We treat people with genuine respect. When a customer comes through our doors for the first time, they immediately recognize we aren't the typical jewelry store. We offer a level of service that is unparalleled—an almost old-world experience with true artisans in the form of watchmakers, silversmiths and jewelers capable of most any repair or custom design.”
Meierotto Jewelers outgrew their Vivion Road location and moved to their new location in North Kansas City on November 9, 2017. They are the first tenant in the new One North development located at I-35 and Armour Road, immediately north of the Kit Bond Bridge.
The store consists of 34,000 square feet and features the largest selection of watches, jewelry, engagement rings in the entire Kansas City area, as well as silverware and hollowware.
