KC Company HipHire Helps Locals Find Part-Time Jobs with New App

Looking to make a little extra cash on the side? Local company HipHire is a new app that matches people looking for and offering part-time jobs. It matches job-seekers with part-time jobs by looking at qualifications, distance, hours, pay, shifts, industries and more.

KC native Brian Kearns launched the company in 2015. Kearns interviewed more than 3,000 employers across the U.S. and more than 300 part-time job seekers for research on the part-time job industry.

HipHire focuses on reducing turnover of part-time employees by matching the needs and wants of job seekers and employees through its system. When matched, employers don’t see the name or picture of the applicant until they meet for an interview. This eliminates the bias factor, and businesses are making data-driven decisions.

HipHire has matched 1,000 people with part-time jobs in Kansas City. Kearns plans on taking HipHire national, launching in 100 cities within five years.
