Round Two of Sporting KC’s “Summer in the Soccer Capital” will jam the Power & Light District Sunday as the United States plays Portugal in the World Cup tournament in Brazil.
The day’s matches are being shown on screens throughout the KC Live! Block, including the huge outdoor screen in the central Living Room. The games are also on at McFadden's Sports Saloon, Johnny's Tavern, Tengo Sed Cantina, The Dubliner, Pizza Bar, Gordon Biersch Brewery, Bar Louie and more.
Sunday’s U.S. game starts at 5 p.m. The last game for the Americans in the group state is the following Thursday at 11 a.m. against Germany.
Viewing is free, and food and drink specials will be available. Limited edition “For Club and Country” gear will also be sold.
Try to arrive early. Monday’s game drew a huge crowd that celebrated the 2-1 U.S. victory over Ghana.
