If you need an excuse to ride the streetcar (it’s free), then head downtown for the Sprint Family Fun series. on the second Saturday of each month, Sprint provides family activities in the Power and Light District. June’s theme is Carnival Circus. July’s theme is Capes and Crowns and you can finish out the summer with a Pirate Party in August. Who says balls are just for grown-ups? The Deanna Rose Farmstead in overland park will be holding a June Bug Ball on June 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.Kids are encouraged to come in “cute-as-a-bug” costumes while they learn about bugs of the world in the dairy barn, play buggy games and eat buggy snacks.
