Great Plains SPCA

5424 Antioch Drive Merriam, KS | 913.831.7722 | greatplainsspca.org

Mission: To drive change in the community through innovative programs that promote adoption, outreach, veterinary care and a better life for pets and the people who love them.

Great Plains SPCA is Kansas City’s most unique and comprehensive no-kill animal welfare organization serving more than 35,000 needy pets annually — more than any other agency in the area.

The lifesaving services provided by Great Plains can only be provided because of your generosity and commitment to the organization’s mission. It does not receive government funding and is not affiliated with national organizations such as The Humane Society or the ASPCA. Great Plains exists solely because of the caring Kansas City community.

Great Plains proudly reports a live-release rate of 96 percent or higher. The live-release rate is calculated by the number of adoptions, returns to owner, transfers and other live outcomes for a given time period. Great Plans offers several ways for you to help through adoption, donation and volunteering.
