As You Like It

VINTAGE ENVIRONS
Housed in the back of an eclectic strip-center antique mall, you may feel as though you are on a mission of discovery before you finally wind your way to The Ridge Bakery and Café, nestled amongst dozens of kitschy vintage vendors of accessories, furniture and baubles. It’s a treasure hunt well worth the effort.

EASY STYLE
With charming red and white checkered tablecloths and painted oil murals lining the walls, The Ridge is as much a place for relaxation as it is a nice lunch or dinner out. You’ll find a menu filled with a good selection of “feel-good” classic meals familiar to the American dining experience, like the mouthwatering Ridge Reuben or the popular Quiche Lorraine.

FRESH IS BEST
The Ridge takes pride in preparing dishes from fresh ingredients, 100 percent from scratch. Baked goods can be ordered for pickup, including box lunches and specialty items like povitica, scones and pie, by the slice or whole. The home-baked pastries match the nostalgic feel of the café’s quaint setting, bringing back memories of your grandmother’s prized confections. The owners are particularly proud of the freshly-baked cinnamon rolls, which are also a favorite with locals.

SAVORY SANDWICHES
Sandwich selections are the star of the show at The Ridge. The imaginative combinations change frequently as seasonal ingredients are incorporated. Most sandwiches are toasted or grilled Panini-style. The turkey apple sandwich features smoked turkey with sliced green apples, horseradish and cheddar cheese on whole wheat. Not a fan of hot sandwiches? Try the cool cucumber number, which is filled with cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and dill on a marble rye.
