One Drink, Three Ways

A popular classic cocktail, the Bloody Mary starts with vodka and tomato juice and builds from there. Whether it’s your drink of choice to alleviate a hangover or kick off happy hour, here are three variations of the drink — as mixed by 801 Chophouse — that you can try at home or order on your next night out on the town.

Simple Bloody Mary
Mix equals parts Mr. T’s Bloody Mary Mix and vodka, pour over ice and garnish with lemon and lime.
Fresh Bloody Mary
Make Bloody Mary mix from scratch with tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, horseradish, beef au jus, onion powder, garlic salt, celery salt, cayenne pepper, cracked peppercorns and lemon juice.
Mix with vodka (801 uses an in-house fused vodka of green and red bell peppers, peppercorns, garlic, shallot, lemon, meat, habanero pepper and onion).
Pour over ice in a glass rimmed with celery salt, cayenne pepper, onion powder, sea salt and cracked pepper. Garnish with an asparagus spear, two French-cut green beans, and a lime/lemon, a blue cheese stuffed olive and three cocktail onions.
Bloody Bull
A twist on the Bloody Mary and a nod to 801’s prime steakhouse concept.
Mix Absolut Citron with equal parts beef au jus and tomato juice, pour over ice, add a full squeeze of lemon and lime, stir, then garnish with a colossal celery stick.
